Holidays Frenzy
December 23, 2009I’m moving to a new apartment on january 2nd. I’m packing my stuff right now, so updates might be a bit sparse for the next few weeks. In the meantime, here are some test sprites I did a while ago for a pixel version of my now-defunct Galactic Police shooter.

Thanks! I don’t have any precise plans for this, but I definitely want to make a game from this idea someday. After Ninja Senki, I’ll focus on my fantasy breakout game project, but I might come back to this galactic police stuff afterwards.
By the way, I just got Tobe’s Vertical Adventure and it’s fantastic! Nice work!
How far off is Ninja Senki? It looks terrific from that last video.
I’m working on the last 10% which seems to be harder than the previous 90%. It’s the layer of polishing that can make the difference between a game that looks amateurish or a game that’s top notch.
I’m at the same point on my own game… I’ve been saying I’ll be done this month since November

Apparently this idea has been shelved, but if you decide to come back to it, play Halloween Harry (aka Alien Carnage) for some inspiration. That game, too, features a guy in an anti-gravity suit.
